Our story

Three decisions
shaped this house.

A conviction, first

Older adults deserve more than a room and a schedule. That belief shaped everything that followed — the setting we chose, the size we stayed, and the way the house is staffed through the night.

The land came first

Two and a half acres in Steeplechase, with a pond, mature palms, and native planting that brings Florida’s birds up to the lawn. Space to walk, to sit outside, to watch something happen.

And we stayed small

Small enough that caregivers know every resident by name and notice when something is off. Large enough that there is always another room to sit in, another path to take.

We hire for temperament before experience. Skills can be taught; the patience to let someone finish a sentence, or dress themselves at their own pace, generally cannot.
